Rethinking Development: Local Pathways to Global Wellbeing
Date: Saturday, February 14th, 2015.
Location: Armação de Pêra (Holiday Inn Hotel).
Time: 15:00-17:00.
Language: English.
Overview:
This talk questions our contemporary view on what development means, and how we can face global challenges such as economic instability, peak oil, climate change and global health. It introduces some alternative ways of living that are being adopted by other countries and communities and discusses how we can transition from a society of degradation to one of regeneration.
Come and meet new and likeminded people in a learning and sharing atmosphere.
Please join the Facebook event page here.
Despite existing a suggested donation for attending of 10 Euros this is not restrictive if you cannot afford paying that; just come anyway; your presence is what counts! And maybe as an exchange you can help us for 2h in our farm or other.
The collected donations will support upcoming events and 10% will proceed to the Peta Birch Community Association (a registered Charity that helps children and animals in the Algarve).
